Trauma Informed Half Day Conference (4 Credits)
We know the youth we serve have experienced trauma, in some form, by the very nature of the circumstances that necessitated them being removed from their home. Becoming familiar with approaches on how to care for youth who have experienced trauma is the first step in building better relationships and being a well-equipped CASA/GAL. Professor Laura Donavon, lecturer of graduate social work and Coordinator of Addictions and Child Welfare Specializations, will help define and provide examples of trauma as well as ways to care for youth that have experienced it.
Please join us to find out about the latest happenings at CASA Kane County, learning through discourse and breakout groups as well a morning filled with the camaraderie of your peers!
