Every 12.5 minutes, someone dies from an opioid overdose in the United States.  Recent data shows that data show that heroin use is stable. The bad news is that the drugs now available are much stronger, including those laced with fentanyl, which can be 50 to 100 times stronger than heroin.  Hear directly from Kane County Deputy Sheriff Ron Hain as he walks participants through the opioid crisis in Kane County – and how child advocates must be more knowledgeable than ever on this issue when working with children and families.
