Former Foster Child Speaks at 7th Annual Super Heroes Luncheon

CASA Kane County held its 7th Annual Super Heroes Event at Pheasant Run on Thursday, September 28th, 2017. Over 300 guests heard former CASA child and international best-selling author, Ashley Rhodes-Courter. Ashley has delivered speeches on Capitol Hill and given keynote addresses at conferences about adoption and foster care.

Ashley spoke eloquently and passionately about her nearly 10 years in foster care and how her CASA helped her through her adoption process. She recounted her many caseworkers that were assigned to her case over the years, with her CASA being the only constant person in her younger years.

We were honored to have Ashley share her personal story with the audience and hear the impact her CASA volunteer had on her.
