Board of Directors

CASA Kane County's Board of Directors is comprised of community and business leaders who serve as ambassadors in the community, speaking on behalf of the CASA program. One of their many responsibilities is to serve as a conduit of information about the on-going need for philanthropic support. The Board is also responsible for producing a community benefit report and financial report, and is ultimately accountable for the proper management of all personal gifts.

Today we have seventeen Board of Directors that demographically represent the Kane County area. Each board member has been assigned to one of our five sub-committees to ensure the organization's mission and program goals are being followed. CASA Kane County promotes and encourages funds and donations. The board oversees all investments, contributions, gifts, and bequests made to the organization from the general public and corporations.

Chairman's Advisory Panel:

The Chairman's Advisory Panel is a collection of individuals who bring unique knowledge and skills which complement the knowledge and skills of the formal board members in order to more effectively govern the organization to a better financial position.

The Advisory Panel however does not have formal authority to govern the organization, that is, the advisory cannot issue directives which must be followed. Rather, the Advisory Panel serves to make recommendations and/or provide key information and materials to the executive committee. The Advisory Panel will be standing (or ongoing) in nature.

The CASA Kane County Advisory Panel is a resource pool of experts from any field deemed relevant used to advise the board and executive director in carrying out the mission. The board is not obligated to consult the Advisory Board, which serves entirely at the board's discretion
