Lee Annes, DCFS Statewide CIPP Administrator

Statewide Administrator for two programs: Clinical Intervention for Placement Preservation (CIPP) and D-CIPP which helps transition young adults out of the child welfare system

CIPP is a team planning process for all the youth in DCFS care. It can be initiated by the caseworker, youth, family, caregiver, GAL, CASA worker or be triggered by being in one of our shelters, psychiatric hospitalization or a detention center. The planning process is to help stabilize the youth’s current placement or identify more intensive services and/or restrictive placements for treatment if necessary. The goal is to bring the youth’s important stakeholders (his/her connections and the professionals involved) to come together to prioritize, develop, support and implement a plan going forward.

In the last half hour, Maria Casas, CASA Kane County Program Coordinator, will help you advance your use of Optima – the database tracking program for all of the information that CASA needs to monitor progress, measure outcomes, and report to local and national grantors.  We are happy to note that since its introduction to CASA Kane County in 2016, everyone is now using Optima – administration, staff and volunteers!  Optima Training is provided to all levels of users and many of our advocates are already fully utilizing the program at a more advanced level.

Advanced Optima training will answer your specific questions and cover much of the advanced features, including:

    • Taking full advantage of all of the features on your Optima Dashboard.
    • Reporting and monitoring your training credits
    • Taking advantage of document sharing and storage features
    • Introducing the new “Optima Go” mobile access program
