"It's about helping a child replace a life of hurt with one of hope."
- CASA Volunteer
Your contribution, no matter the size, will help redirect a child’s life to a place they need to be. In 2008, our CASA volunteers advocated for 523 abused and neglected children and donated 17,000 volunteer hours. Your continued belief in our efforts will continue to provide a CASA volunteer to every child entering the Juvenile and Probate Court systems. Click here to read about our statement of needs.

Third Party Events
You can host an event that raises money for the CASA program. Past
third party events have included a car wash, restaurant days, a local store that
donated 5% of the month's proceeds, a CASA volunteer who asked for donations
rather than birthday presents...the possibilities are endless! CASA is
happy to help publicize the event and provide volunteers if needed. For
more information, please call Courtney Laverty at (630) 444-3111.
IRA Rollovers
If you are 70 and a half, you can give $100,000 directly from the IRA to

A Charitable
Remainder Trust
A charitable remainder unitrust
allows donors to support CASA while earning an income for themselves and /or a
loved one. The charitable trust pays a percentage of the principal, valued
annually, to the donor or designated beneficiary for their expected lifetime.
The donor receives an income tax charitable deduction equal to a portion of the
gift made to the trust. After the unitrust terminates, the remaining principal
goes to CASA to support the purpose the donor has specified.
A charitable remainder annuity trust is similar to a unitrust except its term cannot last longer than 20 years. This provides more certainty to the donor as both the term and the amount of the income tax deduction are known up front.
Donor Advised Funds
These allow the donor to make a gift to CASA Kane County while deferring
decisions about the gift's precise charitable uses. The gift is then invested
with other managed assets in the CASA Kane County Endowment.
