Child Demographics

CASA Kane County relied on 264 trained volunteers to represent 556 children in Juvenile and Probate Courts last year.  These children range in age from newborns to 21-year-olds ready to live independently.  All of these children and young adults relied on their CASA/GAL volunteer to make certain that their goals of safety and permanency were achieved.  To view a printable color flyer, please Click Here.

  • 43 new CASA/GAL volunteers trained
  • 21,267 volunteer hours contributed
    (Equates to 10 full time GAL attorneys)

Program Outcomes

  • 99.9% of children served did not experience a recurrence of abuse or neglect.
  • 93% of children served remained with one consistent CASA/GAL volunteer for the entire year.
  • 100% of children who came into abuse/neglect and probate courts were appointed a CASA/GAL volunteer.
